Default horrible ending to a great weekend

spent all weekend at deals gap for my birtday. ran the gap probably 7 times and had a blast. once we were done me and the wife were headed back home when a small rain shower came in, we were going around a pretty mild turn at about 25 mph and before i even realized it the back end of my car had come around on me. i tried my best to correct and did so somewhat but as a result i crashed into a guard rail. luckily the wife and i were unhurt but it made me feel like crying my car is a 2000 with only 25k miles. it did over 4k worth of damage. makes for a great birthday......

You're lucky if that's only $4k. I would assume more like $5k+, but then again I'm no auto-body specialist. Either way glad that you both are alright.

i think alot of it was the pavement surface, i had no issues with traction on the gap runs. after it happened i was wishin i had brand new tires on the back. maybe it wouldnt have happened.

Glad to hear you are both okay and the car wasn't written off and can be fixed. How much tread was left on the rear ties out of curiosity.?
