Default Houston S2000

It's been along time S2KI!

I was on this forum many moons ago with a 2008, and subsequently sold it (shouldn't have), more than 6 years later I'm in the hunt for a S2000.

I've been searching online for months, generally looking for the unicorn white/red AP2.

I found one in Houston Texas under MW Carline about 2 weeks ago under VIN

JHMAP21437S002545

2007 Honda S2000 for sale in Houston, TX | Stock #: 002545

The price was 28k for it, it was as I suspected a tad bit over priced in my view, but I vising family in Houston at the time, so I took it for a spin. Excellent car. Went on sale 8/23 or so.

I left right before Hurricane Harvey hit. My father reported that MC Carline and many cars were under water. Ouch!

9/4/17, I check my morning listings and see the S2000 now for sale in Los Angeles for 24k! Going back to MW Carline, half their inventory was sold immediately.

Everything under 43k is gone.

Ferrari | Lamborghini | Bentley for Sale Houston | MW Carline

I urge as a warning that Carfax never references Houston, and it is common practice to move cars across state lines for title purposes and hide car damage issues (water).

Be warned if you buy this car! I drove it 2 days before Harvey hit. Doubt they would have got it out in time.

These links will expire soon, but I will put up photos of above for future years.

Not worth the 30k they are asking. Spoke with the driver the lot was under water when he picked it up, he did not see it under water himself, as it was moved a small area higher than the rest for shipping.

Car was slow on take off and vibrating. Engine bay is full of grime and dirt. Which is weird since the last time I saw it, it was in show room condition 10 days ago or so.

Also, bait and switch listed at 24k, the jacked up the price due to the high volume of calls on the car to 30k. Seek life elsewhere.

"Or best offer" does not mean "best Lower offer." Supply and demand -- and the buyer -- determine the price.

Car needs to be completely checked. Water splashes are one thing but ...
