Default How best to remove spray paint?

I spray painted my hood black for that carbon-fiber look, but am selling the car and now need to get the paint off. I used a normal generic spray paint.

What's the best way to get it off without damaging the paint underneath?

I recommend 10 grit sandpaper on an orbital sander spinning around 10k rpm. This method works very quickly.

I hope you're joking about removing the black spraypaint. If you're not, you'll probably have to strip all of the paint and then repaint the hood. Or, better yet, buy a used hood from someone else.

Or just get a real CF hood.

Well, I tried the sandpaper idead but I think the guy was just joking. Luckily, I stopped before it could do some real damage. But now, I have to drive around with a scratched up hood until I get it how I want it.

Thanks for the advice.
