Default How to built a good NA S2000 for Drag?

Greetings everyone, I would like now what you guys think would be the ideal way to build a NA S2000 for drags...

First there is the obvious Go-Bits like Intake/Exhuast/Headers/Cams etc...

What I'm more interested in is suspension - getting the power to the wheels...
Would 15" be ideal for drag purposes?

Cheers in advanced!

Our little S2000 was just not really designed for drag racing, so I'd recommend SCCA Solo 1 or 2 or even road racing if you're brave . There have been so many guys here who have dragged their S2000 and busted clutches, trannys, driveshafts, rear diffs, CV joints, etc., but if you really, really want to drag your S2000, here's what I'd recommend as an IDEAL suspension setup.

Yes, to answer your question, 15" wheels wrapped in Goodyears finest 32" Eagle Dragway slicks would be just right for gettin' the power down! I'll buy your rims and tires from you, if you want.

Well, an IRS just won't do for a drag car, so you have to get rid of that right away. You can sell me your IRS to recoup some of the loss. Here's what I'd put in:

Or if that breaks try this one:

Now you'll want to attach that with some good 4-link bars that have many adjustment holes so you can play with the rear IC and anti-squat settings.
Try these:

You're going to have to weld in some rear frame pieces to attach all this to, but that can be handled by any competent race shop.

Next you've got to get some front and rear coilovers that are made for draggin', and a new, bigger, tougher driveshaft, and the tranny on the S2000 is a weak link (right cmnsnse?) so I'd go with a Lenco box like the prostocks use (again, I'll take the S2000 tranny and driveshaft off your hands for you):

A custom bellhousing and flywheel/clutch will need to be fab'd to get this box to fit our little F20C, but hey, that's the cost of draggin' an S2000, right?

Or you could just by a tubbed '69 Camaro and race that.

Id hate to say this, but for drag it has to be forced induction to be able to go fast. n/a tuning is good for normal road racing and perfect for carving corners. if you didnt mind paying close to 15,000 you can get a 260hp 12,000 rpm spoon engine. thats probably the highest of the high as far as na goes. but you will still get smoked by any turbo/sc/nos s2000 even with that engine. Even the big pro-stock ford mustangs are turbo.

Now all n/a setup with a bottle of nos is a whole different story...

As far as suspension the best seem to be zeal or tien but thats for handling not drag. it would be best to just keep the stock wheels for drag and spend the money on more go fast parts

Or....better yet. By an old dragster and just put the S2000 body on it.
