Default How can I fight these speeding tickets?

Yesterday I was driving back from Reno to Long Beach when I got cited for 4 simultaneous violations coming out of Bishop.

The cop had been following me the whole way from top of the town to bottom of the town for about 3 miles, then he finally decided to pull me over when I was speeding back up.

Here is what he cited me for:

Doing
50mph in 25,
60 in 35,
80 in 65 and
91 in 65

Is there a way I can fight these tickets?

Go see an attorney.

Ignore all the advice on how to beat the tickets in court yourself or about how someone's aunt's cousin once had the same thing happen and it's not legal...yadda yadda. With that may speeding violations you'd stand to lose your license (here) based on points and would be uninsurable.

Go see an attorney.

I thought the same thing about the last 2 tickets, Crazy. But the tickets may not be listed in order so that he was actually speeding in two different 65 zones. Dunno.

I've always wondered how I can get two parking tickets that are 2 hours apart...the meter only expired once and I'm still violating the same law...

Check here:

Secondly, it seems to me that the cop was just looking to meet his quote. I mean 1 ticket is one thing, but 4 of them?!? I've never heard of that before

Actually, do you have a scanner? I would like to see how he set up this ticket (only the lower portion that shows the citations) No need for the upper part with your personal info

The last two seem to indicate that you violated 2 different sections of the vehicle code.

VC 22349: Maximum Speed Limit

(a) Except as provided in Section 22356, no person may drive a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than 65 miles per hour.

(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no person may drive a vehicle upon a two-lane, undivided highway at a speed greater than 55 miles per hour unless that highway, or portion thereof, has been posted for a higher speed by the Department of Transportation or appropriate local agency upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey. For purposes of this subdivision, the following apply:

(1) A two-lane, undivided highway is a highway with not more than one through lane of travel in each direction.

(2) Passing lanes may not be considered when determining the number of through lanes.
