The only way to drift the s2000 the way Alex does is to go somewhere near his route. Like I said before if you just want to do a small drift, no problem. If you plan on doing a tire smoking sustained drift, no way.

Or, like I said before, let RT drive it.

have you seen Alex's drifts? I find it seriously hard to believe that a stock s2000 can maintain those drifts. I'm sure RT's a great driver but the car has limitations in stock form.

it's really pretty easy if all you want to do is drift....buy a set of 4 my00 front rims....find a set of fairly cheap stiff sidewall hard compound tires[as narrow as will fit the rims]...pump those babys up to 45-50 in the rear and off you go..swear you will be able to drift like a pro ....however; remember that the skills you learn in the "traction challanged" s2000 won't apply to the car set up to factory trim..a more fun method[but surely not as cool ] would be to buy a clapped out pre-super beetle bug...pump up a set of 5.60-15 bias ply tires to 60 and go out in a light rain....thats how i learned.

But I'm trying to learn the balance and control of his car. As for the S2K, I'd like to learn using it, as I feel that it would be a LOT more fun to drift in it like Alex Pheifer in his RSR S2K.
Find a big ass parking lot that is big enough to reach 40-50 mph. You can practice late braking and learn the lateral grip boundrys of this car.

Watch out for the po po

Park the car on the edge of the San Andreas fault line. Your car will drift about an inch a year. No additional tuning or parts required.

No, I haven't. Have you seen Ray out on the track?

Why would you want to drift? There's no reason to drift unless your racing on dirt or snow. You want traction for better times, do you ever see real professional races (ie. formula 1) drift on paved roads? Sorry for the rant i'm just sick of the import drift thing. Its just all show. And i've seen them, when the guy trailing wants to catch up all he does is drift less or not drift at all and bam he catches up.

that's the point I don't need to. I know he's a good driver, but as an owner of an s2000 I also know the limitations of a stock s2000. I already agree that it can be drifted, but in stock form it can never be drifted to the degree that Alex's car can. Find a video of Alex drifting the RS*R car and you'll know what I mean.
