I already agree that it can be drifted
That was my only point (besides a little humor). Of course you can modify it to make it even more "drifty" if you want.

200 whp is more than enough to get you doing circles.

if you can afford the tires, then go find a parking lot that is empty, flat, and completly clear and go have fun i guess.

drifting is soo uggh. save the money and go get a helmet and go join road races for a day of fun at the weekend.

The RS*R car is quite different that where it was in the Honda Tuning article. It has been tweaked extensively since that article printed.

new TQ numbers put it at over 300 at the wheels. HP is still well over 320, but the power comes in much faster. the steering has been tuned to where it is working very well. tire sizes, rim sizes, offsets, tire models have all been modified and the new combination works very well.

but to answer your question...
what do you need to do?
1. get as much power as possible. it can drift NA, but its hard to maintain a drift due to the lack of TQ. you can do doughnuts, but thats not drifting.
2. lighten the car as much as possible. the car is light, 2800lbs, but it needs to be much ligher. strip it down, every LB counts.
3. the EPS steering is a bitch. its very advanced, but not good for drifting. either unplug it and go no power steering, or learn how to really swing that wheel hard when you are swinging the car around corners.
4. you can go bald tires to learn what its like lose traction, but not a good idea if you are going fast...learn with decent tires in the rear, a 225 in a 16" is a good place to start.

I don't want to hear about how drifting is not a true form of car racing. djkojione, RACER, LiQiCE, dbw, & turbo_pwr. Thanks for your info/input.
Guys I'm just asking how, I don't want to hear you opinions on why I shoudn't. I'm doing the research now and I'm trying to find how to tune/tweak the car. It's my time and $$$ going into this and I'm taking the hit no one else is. I know what the car can do and it's designed for I'm sure you're all trying to look out for my best intrest. But serioiusly, most of these comments aren't here to help but mostly to bash.

It's another directions that the S can make, either support it or move on. IF I deceide to not pursue it, then I'LL make the choice. But who knows maybe someone else will get that itch and try to do it too, atleast there'd be some support/help they can reference to.

I'll be on my own on this one. Hopefully we can all learn something from this and try to be more supportive.

All you need for a beginner are
1. Nissan diff conversion (see the link in my signature)
2. Wheel alignment. Dial the camber in the rear tyres to near neutral.
and then lots of practice and TLC for the car.

As you improve, you can add more mods to the car. Drifting is not all about engine power. There are ways around that.

I still don't know how a mistake made while racing became a sport.
