Default how to compensate power loss

ok guys sorry if this might insult some people, but here is the deal i'll be getting new wheels tomorrow or day after. 18's (Volks GTn's) wich seem to be a few pounds lighter than stock, but (as i was told) they would still slow me down because of diameter reasons... so what can be done to at least just compensate that "slow down"?? no i don't have money to add FI (blower/turbo) not even headers what would be next on the list? not to crazy on a full blown exhaust (concern on loudness)

current HP mods.... sit down for this one:
AUT carbon radiator plate
K&N air filter
krank vents
and... thats about it

thanks for the help and advice

Sorry, I can't really think of anything in particular. I have never really heard of anyone who was just trying to find a couple of HP. I guess you could try a CAI since you don't want to change your exhaust. A test pipe is probably out as well since that could change the volume of your exhaust. You may want to try to find some weight (on the car) that you can lose. Possibly a VAFC. I got 8 HP with one when I had one and was NA.

The overall diameter of the 18" tires should be the same as the 16"s. That is why you have a smaller side wall on bigger wheels.

wheels are the same diameter...
mine (18s) are heavier than stock and i have never noticed any diff- in performance.
if you are worried, change your exhaust to gain a few h.p.s.
