Nice idea, and good question. Yes, I would imagine the big question is whether the electronic inputs are the same, and whether the harness is identical... Doubtful.

Same here. It's much more F1/Open-wheel racer like and it's easier (for me at least) to read:

im thinking its the same wire harness, but with added wires for the clock and temperature gagues. i dunno if there's anything else that's different.

but ya, this wouldn't be one of those mods on the top of my list... maybe later on. you never know, they might change the cluster again for 08

Does any one have a helm for the AP2? I would imagine that the pin outs on the USDM cluster are no different than those overseas it just has a higher redline. A quick look at the pin-outs from an Ap1 helm and an AP2 helm should answer the questions pretty quickly. I think the helm even shows the connectors so we could figure that out as well. I have a copy of the AP1 helm...any one with the AP2 one?

This is something I have been thinking about for the past few months but its one of those more money than brains type of mods. The clock would be nice however, all my hondas other than the S have a stock clock besides the radio.

yeah, it wont matter what you do. you can always repin, and make it work. may take a little work, but voltage is voltage. if you have the right signals going the right places, done. it will all work. all the clock will need is 12 volts.
i doubt that the pins are different, if at all. maybe the ABS signal, and airbag signal. still, not hard work.
