At the dragon this year I had my passenger/codriver help me move the top into the cabin every morning before we went on a drive and back on the car every night before calling it a night. Kind of a pain but worth it. I also knew my day wouldn't every be away from the car and that it wasn't going to rain.
Basically, a CR as a DD means you either have to go topless all day or top on all day. Another reason we should have gotten the Type S.

so if anyone has taken a trip with their CR
do you just take the hard top off and store it in the hotel room
when you want to drive around with the wind in your hair?

Lol when i first was reading the feed back i was thinking is any CR owners going to comment back. I have DD my CR for 6 months now and have done alot of road trips not sure if i have done more than other CR owners or not. Now suspension is not bad at all to me. I want to get a exaust for more noise the CR seems way to quiet to me for a sports car. I love the feel of driving it every day. I have taken the top off u just have some where to store it. Now on the road trips first one was to Houston TX and it was a joy the whole way. It sucked for room to bring bags with me. I just had to bring duffle bags. I also did a trip back to Tampa FL a couple times. Again it was a fun trip and i love the hard top on this car. Now if u can get a CR for only a couple grand more go for it. But if not a miata is not a bad starter. But a regular S or a CR is much better in every way except price than a miata. Hope this help u out
I'd rather go 125mph in any s2k than 100mph(YIKES!!) in ANY Miata. Anyone with a hint of an engeneering mind will appreciate the significance of that statement.
CR, S, whatever, just stick with Honda! Good luck-
