i don't think it would be a big deal. hardtop on is the way to go with this car. the novelty of top down wore off after about a month. the quicker steering rack would be nice...but honestly i'm just not a fan of how they look, maybe downgraded to a regular ap2 trunk and wheels...

the lack of a spare tire also gives it a bit more trunk space.
Although the CR lacks a spare tire, doesn't it still have that bulged lining? I made it a point to find this out when the CR first came out, as I wanted to replace my AP1 with the CR lining since I don't carry a spare.

Having a HT does bring much more sense of security. Though there are some days that I wanna drop the top...I also remember getting sunburned/tanned with a strange design on my body. I wear a hat so I would have the top of my head all white while the rest of my body was dark red...My body had one hell of a farmer tan. The thing is that I lose track of time while in the S because I love the drive so much. Plus, since I got the HT I feel more like a rock star when I drive. Everyone on the road always looks in to see who is behind the wheel, points @ the HT and give me a thumbs up when I'm driving.

For those that go on road trips, does the noise become bothersome over time with the removal of sound deadening on the CR?

Less noise with hardtop and no sound deadening vs sound deadening and soft top.

I contemplated trading in my S2K a few months ago to get a CR, but then I considered the fact that I enjoy putting the top down as often as possible; also, I'd prefer just paying off the remainder of my car sooner than setting myself back a few months.
