5 min is just so long... I just start the car and wait a few seconds then go. Shift at like 3kish until car reaches 3 bar.

Of course. Just common sense. Five minutes is slightly whacked. Honda makes tough engines so just don't push it too much unitl the oil gets nicely warmed.

I wait until 2bars(ap2) and then take it easy until its warm then I shift normally at around 4-4500rpm.

its usually warm by the time I am ready to go.

I start the car and let it idle for a few seconds, then I'm off, shifting at 3k initially, and gradually increasing my shift points as the engine temperature stabalizes. My diff (KAAZ LSD) takes longer to come up to operating temperature than my engine, so it's the diff temperature that ultimately determines how long I drive before driving the car hard.

[QUOTE=QUIKAG,Jan 12 2008, 02:19 PM]The more you idle with the engine cold, the worse it is on your engine.

This is from my Acura Integra's owners manual

"A cold engine uses more fuel than a warm engine. It is not necessary to 'warm up' a cold engine by letting it idle for a long time. You can drive away in about a minute, no matter how cold it is outside. The engine will warm up faster, and you get better feul economy."
