My front bumper cover is being repainted at the dealer to fix a minor paint defect. I pulled the bumper myself and will need to replace the Honda badge when it is done. What should I use as an adhesive/sealant to re-attach the badge?

I asked at the dealer and they don't have any recommended adhesive - they can only sell a new badge to me with double-stick tape already on it. TIA

i'd ask the body shop to make it so there are no holes on the bumper and paint over it so you wouldnt need a new badge (and thus will not run the risk of someone stealing it)

3M automotive trim tape. It's the one with the green backing. Pray you get it on straight, that stuff is hard to take off.

Have you thought about putting the "Black Chrome" badges? I have a Formula Red too, and they look nicer than the stock oem badges. They are also easier to clean when washing your car. There's no more washing the paint between the metal "H".

You can can always ask GregStevens for a second opinion!

Thanks for your rapid responses! It's interesting that I have considered all of the alternatives that were suggested. I was toying with the idea of filling the holes or adding the chrome emblem kit, but I just like the look of the stock badge. It is a pain to clean within the H though, and that was a primary motivation to switch to the chrome kit. I'll stop by an automotive trim shop and see if I can snag a small amount of their trim tape for the refit.

or the european red badges... they look even nicer.

I have used 3M power strips with success. Nothing has fallen yet off the car .
