I'm just curious how everyone drives their Honda S2000. Whether you like to be in Vtec all the time, and rev really high for shifting, etc.

I persoanlly, am trying to get the best gas mileage out of my car, as well as conserving my clutch so I shift around 5000rpms but try to stay at a low rpm to conserve gas, and throw it into neutral at stoplight to save my clutch. When I'm in a parking lot I usally throw it into 2nd, but I still get that bobbing because the AP1's have no low end torque. Every once in awhile I'll drive it around as fast as possible

Any suggestions on how i can improve my gas milage, and the life of my clutch, as well as driving in slow mph areas such as parking lots? This is my daily driver so...Thanks!

 

Shift at about 3.5-4k and you will get better mileage... I drive for mpg when im just puttering around town but drive for rpms when attacking a back road or at an autox

 

I keep my engine between 7500 and 8200 rpms at all times. Never know when you're going to need VTEC.

 

all s2k owners should drive it like they stole it

 

Yeah VTEC every once in a while,slower acel shifts @3,500ish and faster acel shifts @5000ish

 

a mix of everything, just depending on my mood.

 

 

i drive it calmly most of the time & shift between 3k & 4k & VTEC it maybe once a day when driving normally

 

You guys make me feel like I short shift, I shift around 3k-3.5k around town.

 

depends on who's in the car with me. by myself i like to shift around 4-4.5k with a passenger 3-3.5k.
