Top down, stand up directly on frame rail in front of seat and slide down. Top up, avoid bolster, duck head, avoid touching door or sill while bringing legs in or leave top down and only put it up from inside.

I love when he posts. Satire.

Right foot in and drop into the seat. Pull left leg in.

You better have a kitchen in your car, or you've got some explaining to do.

i pick my right leg up and put it into the car, and using my left leg, i let myself "fall" into the exact center of the seat. I do this to not cause any damage to the side bolsters. as of right now, they are not to bad, the seat bolster is only somewhat worn, and the sides just have that "stressed look" but are fully fluffy and stiff still. I bought the car used, if i bought it brand new it would not look like that

Right leg in first. Then use my left hand on the door sill to keep my body up to go over the bolster on my Status seats. Then bring bring the left leg in. My wrist hurts.......

I'm in Oz, right hand drive, so you'll have to reverse things.

I'm over 70, & my right knee doesn't bend on command any more, so I developed this technique to avoid scuffing the door & sill.

The cars lives with the roof down under a sheet, & if I've put the roof up, I lower it from outside the car, before I get in. I have real difficulty with the roof up, with convertibles or hardtops, which is why I drive convertibles

Standing beside the car facing forward, left hand on the screen top, & left foot in onto the centre tunnel foot rest.
Keeping the knee straight, swing backside into the car, with it resting a foot or so up the seat back.
Pull right foot in, then relax knee, sliding down into the seat.

With the great snug fit in the S, it really does feel like sliding down into the old open wheeler Lotus & Brabhams did, when I raced them 40 years ago.

You don't really get into an S2k, you put it on.

A controlled fall, in the way a carrier landing is a controlled crash. I'm usually in a hurry; need to have better lighting in the garage in case I forget that I had left the top up for some reason.
