How do you hold the shift knob to shift

BTW did you know that we have seperate driving licenses. One for automatic transmission (you're not allowed to drive manual transmission cars, it's mainly for slightly handicapped persons and the elderly). And there's the standard license for manual transmission, which entitles you to drive every type of car. Also we're not allowed to get a driver's license until we're at least 18 years old.

I am curious, how does resting the hand on the shifter wreck the transmission? I don't do it with the S2000 (because the shifter is high), but I do it sometimes with other cars such as the Accord I mentioned previously. I want to hear more about this please.

I like to mix it up -- overhand when really driving, sidehand when relaxed. I think its kinda' like top up or top down: do what you're in the mood for.

I have no idea...kinda like thinking about tying a tie...if you think about it, you can't do it! (damn now I'm wondering how much I blink my eyes!!)
