How do you program factory alarm (not keyless entry) remote -
I just received an extra transmitter for my factory alarm system. Does anyone know how to program the remote? The remote has an "option" button instead of the trunk release. I've already tried programming it the same way you would program the keyless entry remote and that doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks for the response! I bought my car used and did not receive the alarm manual. I would REALLY appreciate you scanning the manual for me or describing the steps involved.

The FAQ covers programming keyless entry remotes, not alarm remotes.
My rims are not powdercoated yet. I'm planning on doing this soon and simply photohopped them in the meatime
Still waiting for programming instructions

As advertised, here's a .pdf of the relevant pages of the manual. It's interesting that you actually program the car to recognize the remote in steaad of the other way 'round. What would you do if you lost a remote? You'd have to somehow clear the memory and reprogram . . .
