Default How do you remove the radio/cd head unit?

My righr speakers are cuuting out, but notice that if I slap the head unit on the passenger side tunnel, the speakers would come back to life....or it would sometimes cut out when taking a sharp turn or over a bump....I'm guessing a loose wire or connector in the back....sometimes when I apply some pressure to the head unit, the speakers would come back on line. I want to investigate whats going on behind the head unit and fix it....anyone know the steps to remove the unit and look into the back?

Just the right side of this one, no need to pull instruments.

I need to replace my radio door with the 04 door but don't know how. I see your picture post, and thanks, but don't understand where specifically to pry. Can you post a few details. Thanks.

That was an excellent write up. I'm going to have to use this thread when I install new speakers and a deck soon.

Keep the tips/how to's coming!
