Default Radio removal query

Greetings

It's my first post on this forum after acquiring a 54 plate 54000 miler a couple of weeks ago... I am looking to either replace the original head unit to something more modern -perhaps with Bluetooth connectivity - and request details of how the unit is accessed for removal as I obviously don't wish to damage anything! I have been advised that the two panels on the side of the tunnel access the mounting bolts for the head unit, though on removing the one screw in each of these panels, the panel would not come off.. Again I didn't wish to force anything...

Many thanks

Cheers
Ian

Ian,

take a look at the FAQ - there's answers to loads of stuff there, including how to install a head unit.

The FAQ is here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/301...nical-faq-v21/

and the head unit instructions are here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/268...b-in-a-2002-s/

some useful tips in this thread too, especially the part about doing it on a warm day. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/1034824-head-unit

Get a good supply of plasters and warn your neighbours about the very bad language you'll be using
