Hey guys,
i'm trying to remove a passenger seat from my S so i can get enough room to bring a chair from my friend's house.
Can anyone help me what kind of tool i need in order to remove the seat along with some description?

Its pretty simple I have done it numerous times. For the back I believe you need a 14mm socket extension. Just slide the seat foward as far as it will go then loosen the bolts. With the front same thing except I think(dont quote me on it though) its a 12mm socket. Slide the seat as far back as it will go and loosen. The bolt closer to the console is hard to use with a socket wrench. Turn it once or twice to loosen it then take the socket and attach it to a screw driver type handle (usually comes in a set) to loosen it that way. The process should take less than 10 minutes. Good luck.

 

And if you just looked at your seats, you would see 4 bolts thats need to be removed.. i believe 12mm and 14mm

 

you mean on the rail? that thing is darn low and hardly visible.

Move the seats all the way forward to reveal the rear bolts, and move it all the back back for the front bolts, its pretty easy

The bolts become frozen like most of the bolts on the car.

After the initial removal, the bolts won't freeze up (unless it's years until you remove them again).

When you replace the seat mounting bolts, don't over tighten them. The correct torque is only 16 foot-pounds.
