I saw a pic with the window zipped down ... but I can't figure out how to do it. Can someone post pics/instructions?

It's real simple. You can either do one of two things:

1. You go to your local fab shop and say "hey, I want a zipper on my rear window."

2. Go to the kitchen, get a knife, proceed to cut out back window.

 

there is a zipper in the 00-01 models

I think you may have seen one of my pics with the camcorder mount installed in a old thread

you can't unzip the 02-04 models ( I dont think)

 

I've been looking for the picture again, but I can't find it. It was posted by tims2k where he was showing off his camera mount... with the window zipped down.

Maybe he posted a pic of another car or has a custom rear window... anyways I'll post the pic if I find it.

I was just as skeptical as you guys... After I saw that pic I spent 20 minutes trying to find the zipper....

You know, I'll go ahead and take back my sarcasm. I'm not even that sure that I don't have a zipper. This car is the biggest mystery to most owners and continues to keep me looking for things I never knew were there. Hell, it took me two days to find the gas cap release thingy and most people don't even know about the top compartment on the console (and no I don't bother to read the manual except for the engine).

 

There is a zipper in the back on models with the clear vinyl rear window. If I remember correctly, from the outside, reach under the flap of top that runs along the top of the window. You will feel a padded strip there. It's actually adhered on. Underneath this, there is a zipper.
