how does rev limiter feel when hit?
As fisch says, some people have found that finding the proper hand position is important in maintaining pressure against the spring load in the 5-6 shift gate, so you don't accidentally hit 3rd or 4th, rather than 5th or 6th. From my perspective, ya need to shift at what ever speed you need to so that you virtually never miss a shift. Then gradually speed it up. Your drivetrain will thank you.
Guess I should stop hitting the rev limiter when i up shift? Just happens........is it that bad. The "gold" rated honda mechanic whos been to school...yadda yadda said the s2000 can handle 10,000 rpm..?
I unintentionally bounced off the rev limiter in 1st the other night - the car just accelerated faster than I expected. There was a definite "jolt" and a knock down in revs but I haven't noticed any problems since that night.
Downshifting into the rev limiter, however, would be a different story...
