I mean, completely without any help or use of a sling. I just want to cover every base before I spend on a 'S'. The hardtop looks a hell of alot more secure to me.

Any method, tips or funny little tricks are all appreciated.

Thanks guys.

not impossible, but u are risking dropping it/ the stud scratching ur rear qtr panel, also, u are going to crease the hell out of ur car, the only method i see it would work is to release all latches, stand between the center council then push up and catch from the sides.

I don't have a garage at the moment and I live alone. So even if it takes me half an hour, I need a way to get that hard top off so I can store it in my house.

I guess you can 1) leave it on all the time or 2) Don't get a hardtop.

You could could probably learn to do this by your self with a little practice. Find someone with a HT and ask them if you can practice USING Their car Seriously though, if you want a HT, it will probably stay on much longer than you realise. I've had mine for 2.5 yrs and it's been off twice and this only to lube the seals.

thats how I do it. Sit on my center console, push it up near the glass (thats where the weght distribution is even). Then just kinda carry it like that till Im out of the car. Once im out, i lead it down and just kinda lug it on my shoulder.

oh and on a side note, im 5'5" and 110, so Im sure its much easier if you got a bit more meat on your bones
