How easy is it to take the hardtop off yourself?

But keep in mind, they're more expensive than a garage...

if you take it out with a friend and it drops you can blame your friend and feel good about yourself

As others have stated MANY times here already, it's not heavy, but it's very awkward to have to carry by yourself. Plus, you have to stand in your car and walk around the interior. If it's a one/two time thing and you really NEED to have it off, have at it. But if you continue to use this method all the time, something bad WILL happen.

I personally wouldn't want to take the chance with a $3000 hardtop on my $35K-ish car (bought it brand new). Yes, I can do it. No, I won't.

ive done it on and off by myself a few times its not that hard,i stand passenger side and pull it up a bit so i can slide my hands in the middle of the rear window and middle of the front then i lift it off and rest it on my foot so i can rotate it,glass down, and carry it up stairs, its really akward and pusts a strain on your outstreached arms.but then again im over 6ft and can handle it quite fine.i really wouldnt stand in my interior.but i would recomend having a friend, takes all the worry out.
