Default How far do you usually go?

I have always been curious about this. When the gas light turns on how many gallons we got left? How many miles approximately do you keep on driving until you make a pit stop to the oh so generously priced gas station!!!

Thanks

Sev

Just keep driving, and you'll find out.

^ I agree no more than 5 miles, I'm sure you can go further but I like to play it safe.

I think when the light comes on, theres something like 2 gallons left or so. I've gone 25 extra miles when the light came on.

It depends, there are a lot of times when I'll drive all day with the light on (all together to class, home, work, home 20mi), but I usually try to make the next stop shell.

I took a chance one time on the highway. Really didn't want to stop just to get gas and I was far from home. I took a gamble and made it to the first gas stop at my exit. 33 miles after the light come on !!! At least now I know how far I can go. But it was scary shit thinking I will stall out on the highway.
