There are 2.5 gallons left in the tank and fuel line. Honda accounts for idiots.

Rather than guess, why don't you figure out how much is left when you run out of bars? The gas tank holds 13.2gallons (50 liters). When you fill the tank up, you will know exactly how much gas is left by subtracting your fillup from 13.2 gallons. As I recall, there's about 2.5 gallons left when the bars are gone.

Personally, I don't push it too far. Not because I'm afraid of running out, but because the fuel pump is cooled by the fuel in the tank and you could potentially reduce the life of the pump if it gets overheated.

This depends on whether the fuel has been sloshing around or not. For instance, if you are showing just under half a tank while you are out on the track, you are running on fumes.

usually up to 15-25 miles.

2.5 gallons?? that sounds like a ton! well i guess 50 miles is about the expected 'gas light' range, and @22mpg, 2.5gal=>55 miles...

your fuel pump gets worn out faster if you drive around with low gas.
