The light turns on at 1 bar for my 07 AP2. I usually run it to the end, so after it goes to 0 bars, I have driven it as far as ~20 miles.

In my experience, Hondas are pretty good when it comes to that. I drove a Hyundai and it got stuck on the highway literally 2 minutes after the light came on.

Honda is very conservative with the fuel light. When it comes on there is usually at least 3 gallons remaining in the tank. For us FI guys thats not a long time and if you are caught here between towns you may be making a phone call.

Its not good for the fuel pump...I usually fill up when I have 1/5 of the tank left. I do this for any of the cars of I've driven, not just the S.

I did 15 mi after the light came on and the bar had hit nudda, was praying the whole time cuz I had no idea how far it could go. 60mph on the highway while 18 wheelers flew by me. Was raining hard and had just missed an exit to fill up.

get a better tune! even if you're FI as long as your cruising on the highway and not making any boosted runs you should have fuel economy roughly comparable to stock.

Per the manual, there are 2 gallons of fuel left when the light comes on (11.1 of the total capacity 13.1 gallons have been used). Also, the light comes on with 1 bar remaining, not with zero bars.

This should give you an additional 40-60 miles.
