Default how fast would a 2200lb S2000 be?

There is nothing comparable that I know of with 240hp and 2200lbs.?

I would imagine it would be faster than a m3 in acceleration and way faster around a track due to less weight to turn, stop, etc.....

Any UK cars with this kind of ratio?

What all would need to be removed to get to 2200?

Up to a point, you can guesstimate about +1 hp for every 10 lbs lost. Obviously at some point you'll hit a vanishing return advantage and this rule of thumb will no longer hold true.

HA HA. I don't know exectly but, here "just a fun thought" 'till true knowledge people chime in.

Items to be removed, and or replaced:

-All glass windows and wind shield need to be replaced.
-All sheet metal body need to be replaced.
-Dash board, door panals, and carpet need to be removed.
-Remove the softtop and all convertible machanism.
-Air condition system, rip it all out.
-a set of real MAG wheels.

O.K., O.K. that should do you more than 500lbs. in this diet program!!!

All in all, if I were you, I'll wait for the S2200 for that matter, it should be right around 2400-2500lbs( if it comes out this year). It's not practical to go through all that diet. But like I said, only "just for fun" though.

"PEACE".

How about a circa 1994 Mazda Miata R, on a minor diet (would need to loose about 50 pounds) with a Flyin Miata FMII kit.

Here' the dyno...

there are quite of few of these thing out there...

While he's waiting for this nonexistant vehicle to come out, I'll be playing in my real S.

To answer the literal interpretation of your question, a 2200lb S2k wouldn't be much faster than a 2800lb S2k. Top speed is dominated by wind resistance, which doesn't go down with weight. This is why a heavy sports car can also be very fast. The heavier the car, usually the more horsepower, and if you can keep the aerodynamics about the same, the faster you go.

How fast you can get there, on the other hand, is totally dominated by the engine power and the weight, as Newton's famous Force = Mass times Acceleration equation states. (or Acceleration equals Force divided by Mass).

If you get it down to 1,212 pounds it will be a 10-second car!
