This will seem like a strange question.

I want to mount a V1 remote display inside my rearview mirror. I was thinking to make a pattern and scratch off the silver from the back side. So, I bought an extra mirror to play with.

Looking at the thing there is no obvious way to disassemble it. Not screws, etc. There is a VERY fine seem running around the mirror but it seems like an injection mold line not a break between two seperate pieces.

Anybody have experience taking apart this mirror?

And yes I know there are pictures of someone else who sells mirrors like this for other cars.

Don't know but I have two suggestions:

1. The seam is a clip close fit. Try prying with something like a razor blade to see if it moves

2. This mirror like the outside ones may just glue into a case.

Be interested to know what it ends up being, betting on the latter.
