You want to find out how fantastic stock S2000 brakes are?

Take your car to HPDE event. It will be quickly evident to anyone that brakes are fantastic. Although improvements could be made, I have no problem with stock S2000 brakes.

BTW, alot of people forgets this, your tires are as important as your brakes. Even if you have 6 piston Brembo set up, if your tires are shut then you can pretty much forget about braking.

Yeah, I'd say the brakes are pretty damn awesome. The car stops faster than any other car I've driven. I don't know how well the last on a track though?

The Brakes are very good on the S. I'll race almost any other stock
car (within reason) from 100 to 0.

Ohhh,Almost forgot, hang on to your Sunglasses.

The S2000 has some of the best braking ability of any production car made. For street and autoX use the stock setup is fine. For track use, appropriate pads and fluid are needed. It is that simple.
This is true.

I made mine look a little shinier.

sweet, where did you get the little brake decals from? and what paint did you use? I've been meaning to do the same to mine someday.

Thanks.

The decals are from DecalGirl.com. I did mine also, with PowerSlot Rotors and Hawk HPS pads. Never had a problem, and still going strong with a few auto-x's and hard hard street driving.

Here are my stock rotors after 20K. Now I have 48K on my powerslots and hawks, and no signs of wear. Just need to replace the rears, then I am set to go!!

My sister-in-law has a 2003 911 that I had the pleasure of driving some months ago. I was driving it back home on an LA freeway (don't recall which) and had to stop several times due to traffic. The 911's brakes were definitely quite impressive.

The S2000's are more than up to it's needs, as my son will attest during some spirited breaking today (for fun, in a parking lot).
