i DD mine, and i usually shift at ~4500.

i hit vtec / shift at redline on average once a drive.

havent tried to heel-toe yet. ive got big feet, and this is my first RWD, so im slowly learning the limits of the car on corners and such.

I DD my FI car, and have no issues with pushing my car hard. I will go WOT at least once a day, and depending on if i get onto the highway, will do 2-3 gear pull as well. Unfortunatly, with more power than stock, going from slow speeds to super illegal get arrested speed takes only a few seconds. I am hardest on my car when i am with my friends going to a car meet etc...

I do take good care of my car, always checking fluid levels, changing the oil on the motor, tranny, brakes and diff on a regular basis, letting the car fully warm (5-7 minutes after the coolant hits 3 bars) up before i go WOT, and giving the car 3-5 minutes after spirited driving to cool down (more for the turbo).

the only time i really push mine is when im with a group of S2000 owners...Damn you guys are a bad influance LOL.

I remember when i first got the car while i was on leave and when i got back fish22 and i went out to pungo to play around a little that was the first moment in the car where i couldnt stop smiling. VTEC was fun and it gave me a real good impression of things to come. Thanks Pete its all your fault lol.

my v-tec doesn't burn any oil... haven't lost a single 1/2 quart yet in the 13k miles I've driven the car (oil change every ~3k miles). I've taken it to a couple HPDE days and drive the piss out of it there and love every minute of it. Feel free to search my name on youtube to find a couple laps.

While I drive it tires squeeling on every turn in HPDE I would never get close on any open road. Its just not smart. I tree isn't nearly as forgiving as a dirt runoff and I can almost gaurantee that you can't get your tires warm enough to really drive hard on the street.

All that said, I still like to take the car up to the redline and do drive "spiritedly", but I've never gone to the point where I'm squeeling on the street. Save it for the track. If you want to really enjoy and live to talk about it with us, take it on the track when you have the urge.

I use to own DC2R before S2K and that car was driven pretty hard, not trashed but just going fast into the corners, hitting redline ect every day, but with S2K I'm a bit more normal, I do drive hard but not even close to how I drove my Type R, big factor is change from FWD to RWD so I don't feel that free to go all out around the bends and corners as I did with my R.
As for burning tyres and drift I never was a big fan of it and I think it's just killing everything on the car, and since I love my car I don't do these things.

big foot can still do heel and toe, just side belp the throttle.

same idea.

Be VERY careful, i flipped my first s2k after 3 and a half weeks of owning it, so i suggest you learn to drive the car(took me a good 4 months of daily driving to get it better but still need to learn alot more)

The s2000 is a very incredible car, and not one for young kids who just want to go fast. Every single weekend i wash my car and head right to the local canyon because every time i feel the turns i fall in love all over again!

So take it from me DO NOT GO BALLS OUT tilll your very confident on what the s2000 is capable of. YEAHHHH BOYYYYEEE
how did you flip your car? i do alot of crazy stuff with my car and cant imagine flipping it over

I launch my S maybe 3 times a year. But I hit VTEC a couple times daily...I haven't had one problem with this car to this day. I do maintain it properly though.

i drive the car differently now than when i had it the first 8 months and i see it everytime i fill up the tank. new to 8 months i'd be lucky to get 220 miles before the low fuel light came on, whereas today i'll do anywhere from 270-290 before the light comes on. it could also be the car has been broken in with 25k in 17 months but i also drive differently. the only time i get to really push the car for extended periods is when i'm at palomar mtn which is on fire as we speak.
