How hard do you drive your s2k?
I get most of the craziness out of my system while autocrossing. 95% of the time on the street, I'm pretty reserved and passive. The other 5% of the time comes when someone makes me angry. . .then I show them that even though my car is small, it doesnt mean it can't be intimidating.
Be VERY careful, i flipped my first s2k after 3 and a half weeks of owning it, so i suggest you learn to drive the car(took me a good 4 months of daily driving to get it better but still need to learn alot more)
The s2000 is a very incredible car, and not one for young kids who just want to go fast. Every single weekend i wash my car and head right to the local canyon because every time i feel the turns i fall in love all over again!
So take it from me DO NOT GO BALLS OUT tilll your very confident on what the s2000 is capable of. YEAHHHH BOYYYYEEE

I go balls out.
But only in the dry.
I don't think I'm fast enough to correct a wet snap oversteer.
Keep your tires fresh, gentlemen! 1/3 tread or less, be careful... it's not worth it to stretch out the tires to the cords.

ughhh now i feel sick... i think i drive a lil aggressive, and i thot i didnt..
*cries*
like i got mine in January, and i DD, so i learned in snow.... o.o;
so i wass super conservative. and i waited like nearly 3monthes to even touch VTEC and the car had been since broken in cus i bought it used.
*but now, after the summer, i sumtimes spin tires in the rain
o_o *halo floats above head*
*i take corners with tires squealing, and after a very long time of perfecting my Heel toe, i jump into Vtec just for corners, sumtimes so hot, the fronts understeer and squeal (scary!!)
generally, when i drive to work, im usually late... so i cruise under vtec about 90-100mph....
*but if im really late, vtec the whole way there! (but i only let myself do that once a week and "To Work"
and i really really try to save that 93 octane on the way back,
*unless i accidently go into vtec (then its over...)
*and ive drifted it all day in the rain at a Drift practice with a bunch of 240's (who all gave me evil eye [but my car gripped 10x better than theres on wet, so nyah!])
but i try to keep it just above 3k in 6th (wen im not rushing)
and i shift at 4k, or 5k (wen i wanna play)
and i calculate my Vtec usage to roughly 25-30% of my weekly driving.
and yeah i heel and toe whether im cruising or driving hard, its just fun.
i drive the car just about every day and smile no matter wat.

i see i see, make sure you always check your oil, v-tec burns oil like something that burns quickly(couldnt think of anything smart to say), Give it time, have your fun, then you'll notice driving your s2k all nice and smooth cause you will know what your car will be able to do.

Now, having owned my s2k for just over 2 months and having driven 5000miles, the tires are still sitting 90% tread, I got passed by a Mazdaspeed 3 on a local twisty road, and while there are still bouts of me driving a bit harder, I'm afraid of going balls out...
How hard you guys out there drive these cars? Is the s2k simply too nice of a car to drive hard?

I also tend to drive an AE86 harder on the street, simply because you can drive it harder without reaching anywhere near the same speeds. One of the great things about tiny cars like the 850 Spider (or S800) is that you can run through the gears as hard as possible, without reaching speeds that are just stupid on the street.
I do drive the car hard, but I keep the really crazy stuff off the street. I autocross, do burnouts and donuts (when I'm about to replace the rear tires), ride the rev limiter, and so on, but I'm careful about how and where I do these things, both for safety reasons, and so that I can minimize the chance of breaking things. Back tires (S02's) last me 3000-5000 miles. Like me, if you choose to drive your car in this manner, you do so at your own risk. For me, if it breaks, it needed fixing anyway. If you can't look at it that way, then you should probably avoid doing anything that might break your car.
