center console. I see it for about 130 dollars online.. Is there any wiring or anything that would come up with the roof and hazard buttons?? Would I have to remove them?? How hard would this all be?

 

very easy. It just snaps off and you can replace it with the new one. All you do is plug in two wires for the top switch and the hazard lights. BTW, if you are buying an 04+ console and it doesn't come with the hazard light button in it, you will have to buy that separately as the older buttons are too big (or small, I forgot which).

Yes, alot of members on here have done that. It will be a direct replacement for the old one(I think the buttons are a diff size though), but i'm not sure why its such a big deal to put an '04 console. I think its a waste, but what the hell do I know. Good luck with the swap

 

Most owners prefer the new console because of the sliding cover mechanism and the extra width that gives some space to place something. Now what that little something is I dont know.

 

then there is the fact that the cupholder sucks on the newer consoles.
