I have searched this topic up and down and still haven't found the answers i'm looking for.
First is to anyone that has done this. if you have an 01 and have a glass rear window with defrost and then switched to an 04 console what did you do with the defrost button? I have noticed on one thread that the 04 console has a slot where the defroster button would go. but its not drilled out for it.
Do the european center consoles have this button already installed?
Has anyone ever drilled out the defroster button on the 04 console? Pics would be great.
I really would like to do the 04 console conversion but i'd like to put my defrost button in that slot between the roof button and the hazard button.
some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

Why not just get an 06 Center console, or buy an '02-'03 guage cluster surround which has the defrost.

 

I would buy an 06 console but you can't wire the defroster to the switch in the center. unless you know a how to.
