how long will the F20C last? anyone have the highest mileage s2k around here? or they tend to need a new engine/rebuild after a certain miles?

I am not sure whether any of them have had engine rebuilds. However I have seen a few people who have 120K and beyond.

 

hundreds of thousands of miles. Although I don't know of anyone that has broken 200k yet..

 

one of the other s2k forums (i think s2katlanta) has a thread in which they keep track of the top 10 highest mileage owners...

highest on there was 142k miles.

also, there have been a few threads on here with the topic...
"post your mileage" - search for it

and then theres the 100k mile badge... - search for it

wow.. for some one who is just an enthusiast (dont have one yet) ... i know too much about the s2000 ... lol

but then i do know something about the reliability of hondas...
i have a civic with 240,000 miles and things to fall apart but no problems with the engine itself (knock on wood)

generally, after 180k or so miles random things start going bad ... but preventative maintainence should take care of that

and btw i rev the crap out of civic... incase ur wondering if revving breaks things... i think all it does is make the oil leaks bigger... no big deal

 

just leaks more oil sweet time to rev the shit outta the civic

A welll maintained F20 should be able to go 200k no problem. This is infact a honda we're talking about.
