I always change mine every 3000. I usually bring Mobil 1 full synthetic oil to a local Honda dealer. Since I have extended warranty on my car, I feel better that all the work on my CR was performed by a Honda dealer & they have all records of my maintenance.
I always check to make sure they'd reseted the oil life meter b4 leaving the dealership.

There really isn't an exact answer. Autos operate in different enviorments, and are driven differenty be each individual driver.
I have personally put myself on the Maintainance minder which is 6,000mi using a full synthetic. This milage could probably be safely doubled but I feel much better with my illusion/delusion of the added safety. Besides, it is kinda handy to make use of the minder which will never allow you to forget.

Every 3K on any modern day oil is overkill... 5-7K is even conservative if you are using fully synthetic. Changing fully synthetic at 3K is draining $ into your oil pan.

I try to change oil on the 5000 mile range - it is easier to remember - ends in a 0 or a 5.
Is this with regular, blended, or full synthetic?

Synthetic

Same here.

However...
The oil change interval really depends on your driving conditions.
5000km with decent oil should be fine tho.

Am I the only one who changes based on oil color? If your oil still looks like honey after 3,000 miles you don't need a lab test to be confident that it's still in great shape. Contaminants turn it dark over time and we can all agree that even dyno oil is not going to break down in 3,000 miles. You guys who change that often on a daily driven car are just pissing money down the drain.
