How long does the S2000 clutch last?

Thanks! Good tips! I don't roll backwards at all on hills (ok, maybe an inch at most) but what I'm asking is how do I REALLY know I need a new clutch? Meaning, how do I know when I need to replace a clutch otherwise the car will not get me from point A to point B? I don't race my car, just simple commuting to and from work and maybe a quick drive or two on the weekends. The 5th gear acceleration is a good idea, but at what are the warning signs before the clutch is completely toast?
Again, sorry for the newbie questions, but with all the 'clutch talk' I've been curious about this.

i am just curious,
Revv matching/RPM matching is more related to your synchros
in my knowledge books.. correct me if i am wrong.

Getting back to your original statement, if you use the engine to slow you down, but you don't rev match, you are, in essence, reverse slipping your clutch and over time it will affect its life.
How hard the car is driven absolutely does affect how long it will last. That 90 Legend had over 220K miles on the original clutch.
My MY00 S2000 has 29K miles on it and doesn't have any problems with the clutch. However, I have never done any 6k clutch drops or anything. My car has been babied.
