Default Recommendations For Clutch Improvements

I'm just back from an extended research trip and need to recover from S2000 withdrawal. Part of my therapy involves upgrades to my car. I'm considering a new clutch and hope some of you could give me advice on the matter.

I track my car 4-5 times per year and participate in local autocross events. The car is a daily driver that is not driven hard on the street. So far, the stock clutch has performed fine. I don't do hard launches, but a few times the clutch has slipped when shifting hard and fast on the track. I also have the classic deceleration noise from the still original clutch disc. There are about 16k miles on the car.

Within the next few weeks I'm taking the car to the dealer for the 2nd gear grind problem and want to take advantage of the transmission being out of the car to install a new clutch. One option is to have the dealer replace the disc with an "upgraded" part. This would be free and may help with the deceleration noise, plus it will give me a new OEM part. The second option is to purchase an ACT clutch and pressure plate (I assume they work best when installed together) and try to talk the dealer into installing it. From the reports in this forum, the ACT part offers a stronger feel, and has claims of greater durability, but would cost about $450 through the current Group Buy.

What do you recommend? TIA!
