Default How long is fuel good for?

So, I drive my car maybe 20 - 30 miles a week if I even drive it. I travel alot with work and can be out of town for weeks at a time. Since I don't allow my wife on the same side of the garage as my car i(she smacked a curb with the front bumper after I owned it for three days) t just sits there.

I was wondering how long the fuel stays stable as it takes me up to two months to drive off a tank. Should I just do the 2 or 3 dollar fill up every time I drive it? I worry about this only because I am also an ultralight pilot and it becomes a very big concern in a two stroke engine that you are staking your life on. Really I am not that concerned in a car, but thought it was something I have never read about on here.

You can either add fuel stabiliser,or keep the tank as full as possible.
I store my car for about 5 months a year, fill up the tank before storage, and never noticed any difference when I take it out in the spring.

OK phew, I was thinking the same thing. My car has been in storage for winter the last 4 months and I'm finally about to take it out for a spin

Two months is nothing. If you had it in there 6-12 months, I'd say put some Stabil in it, but I doubt fuel is going to spoil over 2 months. What you do want to be worried about is condensation forming in there when the tank is almost empty. I would probably fill it every time it gets to a half tank.
