Default How to make car drive like new again

My '01 S2k has about 51k miles one it. I went to test drive a brand new S2k with 9 miles on the odometer and i was amazed at how different it feels. The car wasnt warmed up properly so i didnt push it.

What i noticed:

Shifting is extremely smooth while mine is hard to get in gears (even after tranny fluid change)

Above 4k RPM the pedal and shift knob does not shake/vibrate much. Mine vibrates at 4k + rpm

No noises coming from any direction, while all sort of noise penetrate into my cockpit.

Is it just my car or all 2000-2003 S2K's have these problems??

I got noises from my soft-top clamps....

but my car doesnt vibrate at any rpm (except like 600-700 rpm)

try a rear differential flush.....

do u use synthetic for ur car?? if not, try it... i think it makes ur car smoother~
thumbs up for motul 8100 5w-40~~

I haven't had that problem. Mine shust off fine w/ 74,000+ miles on it.

The soft top rattles are most likely because the striker plates are worn. There is a TSB on the striker plates. You can get them changed w/ the hardtop plates for free from Honda. Look for it in the TSB section.

My S vibrated too. The tech found a broken engine mount and replaced it under warranty. You might want to check that.

You should make use of the handy search feature of S2ki. All the symptoms you describe are on here and have various fixes described so you don't have to recreate the wheel...
