My s2k is weird (dunno if other cases like this are occuring) if i drive it soft for a week it will not peel out, if i beat on it for about half an hour then it becomes so much faster and gives me 46 miles on first to redline, other wise it stays under 35 on first and if you try to pop the cluth at 7 k or above it will go down to 3.5k and start the revs again, when beatin on like a street racer will do then it will go 7k and up then shifting to second at 46 miles an hour it will stay abobe 8k , JUST plain weird, i am having it checked tomorrow by a honda rep, anyone faced similar problems?

Could it be your car is not completely warmed up? RE: not past 3 bars; I know that will cause the car to dislike high revs.

I heard that it was better to let the run the car instead of letting it sit. As long as you drive it moderately. Supposedly, the computer is not as accurate as Mugen's so the car may not be totally warmed up even though the three bars show. This may affect the VTEC engagement.

Just my wild-ass guess, but I'd say it has something more to do with the learning ability of the ECU...if you drive it soft all of the time, it won't give you the nice leanness required to give a good go at the top. But did you say 46 mph? I thought we could only do like 36 in first...

Macgyver, Typer has it right, 46-47 is the max speed in 1st gear.
