uhhh....you can't possibly make shifting any smoother than an S2000. No issues here whatsoever at high speed/low speed/high rpm/low rpm/shifting slow/fast/upside down/sideways/ and any other ways you can think of.....the tranny is smooth as butter.

just learn to drive better

blip the throttle between upshifting to allow smoother shifting(especially if you shift slow)

Before I went aftermarket, I had difficulty shifting into 1st while stopped, and shifting into neutral from 1st while slowing down - my best guess is that the clutch never fully disengaged when I pushed the pedal in. No idea why, everything looked normal when it was removed. Perhaps just needed an adjustment, if that's possible on our cars. To get the transmission into 1st, I often had to stick it into 2nd or 3rd first, and then into 1st.

And just about every S2000 I've ever driven (half dozen, maybe?) had a notchiness when shifting into 3rd. (Some more so than others, of course.) Almost feels like it's trying to kick back, sometimes.

I don't think this would work for me. In a really slow upshift, I'd just not let completely off the gas in the first place. Different technique, same result!

My dif fluid was trashed bad at 4k miles. Did it again at 10k, and it was pretty clean. The dif fluid and hyd. clutch fluid will be the first to go in this car.

time to bring this topic back from the dead...i just got my s2k a couple days ago..and i too noticed that shifting thru 1-2-3 gears r notchy....like i hit something when shifting...not a grind though...but did notice that when the car is warmed up and if u shift at 4k rpm it doesnt happen really...whas the deal??? also my reverse gear sucks ass...im gonna try to change the diff and tranny fluid to the redline stuff and see if this helps...im also gonna try to shift in first then put it in reverse to see if that helps...is this a sign of bad synchros???

anybody else notice a whinning/vibration sound when getting in the higher rpm's esp when stepping the gas???
