Default How many computers are in our car?

I need to know how many computers/ electrical devices are in the S2000. I also need there locations if possible. I need this info as I need to a have cross-threaded aluminum lug nut Tig welded off my car. My shop has no problem doing the job but we need to disconnect all the computers/ electrical devices so as not to fry them.
Thanks in advance

How exactly do you think they're going to get fried? As long as they're not powered, there's no need to fear EMI from a TIG welder, and unless you're somehow forcing a current through the specific computer (you power it form one end and ground it at the other), you can't do any damage that way.

I though that a welder was gounded to the piece you are working on. If they use a body ground it could send the full power of the welder through the entire electical system.

It MIGHT work to simply pull all the fuses out (and the battery of course) this SHOULD interupt the power flow for everything electric in the car. However if Honda did not fuse something, well, look out.

Oh yeah, don't forget the under hood fuse panel and all the relays. Pulling the relays should not be necessiary, but at this point, better safe than blowed-up.

I'm with Macgyver here......He sounds like an Electrical Engineer to me. I'm Computer Systems E.

If you are super paranoid.....I'd make sure all power is removed from the car(per Magyver) and switch your switches to drain any extra power which might be left in the capacitors.....This includes turning the ignition on. I'd even press the start button. Nothing is going to happen but if any caps are there they will drain.

This is kind of over the top but if you want to be 100% sure there is no power there this will work.

Magyver....You have done some cool mods. Nice work.

If there's no power, no pretty white balloons.
