How many left 'stock"
Still stock here ... until Monday. The Ohlins DFVs go on then. Will stay on stock wheels and tire sizes. The drivetrain will remain mostly stock, since it's a DD and first string road trip car. It might get a Gern pipe and Dingle at some point, and an ECU to move the VTEC lower, but that's about it.

After a get off line I'm always saying ..well if I just sell this I can get that etc ...it never stops . Three sets of wheels ,two exhausts and many other goodies complete , I'm still saying the same thing ....one more thing than I'm done or "that's about it "I need a 12step program if I ever think I wanna stop ....

Which at this time I don't ever wanna stop ...I plan to own my S2k forever
The better place to start would be.... how many S2000's are actually left on the road. They seem to be totalled very often, and a lot of the times, there is no way that it will ever be rebuilt.
Out of the original 67k ever built, I would be willing to bet that 15k have been totalled and trashed, leaving the total around 50k left. Around here I would say half of them are modified, and the other half appear stock.

Our cars are basically road course cars mellowed a little for the street.
Most powerful part of a track car is the brakes, I've seen good drivers get back 100hp with skillful use of good brakes.
If I ever mod my car at all,it will be in the brake area. It's cheap and can't hurt the car.

In my opinion it is going to be very hard for people to stay bone stock due to Honda not making parts after 10 years or so. What happens when the top rips and you no longer can get a O.E.M. Top? (We should petition Honda to keep making all OEM Parts for the S2 or at least the parts that are known to wear out!)
I'm not convinced Honda will simply flip the switch at 10-12 years post-production and stop making replacement parts, especially wear items. At least I hope not; every time I see or drive my S I am so thankful I have left it stock.
