I pretty much hit vtec every time I'm in 2nd and 3rd....1st is too vicious if you aren't racing someone...and if you're hitting 2nd and 3rd vtec you're flying by the time you get to 4, 5,6 so what's the need if you're not racing!

VTEC is like the car, they were created to be used over and over. You will give out before the S does. Bought mine in Feb also. Have 8800 miles on it. My only regret is that I don't have 20K on it. For the first time in my life I wish that my commute was longer.

70 miles per day, my MY05 is my econo gas mileage car. Doesn't great mileage but a whole lot better than a full size V8 truck. Vtec at least a couple times in the work commute for fun and getting on the frwy.
