2003, 71k Miles, It's my daily driver, Kinda sad since I own a Jetta too but the S2k is jut too much fun. Still runs as though it is brand new when I got it. Never had a single problem with it. Regular service and oil changes have done it well. Transmission shifts as though it was new, no grinds, top is pristine as is the interior.
I guess thats what you get for a weekly detail and wax every month.
Avg about 280 miles a tank.

28,000 miles. I've had about 3-4 rattles I had checked out. None have been fixed because the dealer can't 'recreate' or find the rattle. I've also had 2 blown shocks, but the dealer replaced those.
also I have a weird crackling noise whenever I start moving or whenever I shift gears. it's coming from the passenger side and no ones been able to find the problem

45,000 miles on my MY04, which I bought new off the lot in April 2004. It has about 4000 track miles on it, and hundreds of autocross runs, and has never given me a moment's trouble. I am quite compulsive about changing fluids (easy to do yourself), and I've gone through uncountable sets of brake pads and front rotors.
I average around 24mpg in mixed driving for my commute; over 30mpg on the highway, and well under 10mpg on the track.
