It definitely does get easier the more you do it. My snaps almost go on by themsleves now. I use it mostly for long cruises. I find it much easier to put the boot on then to clean the inside of the window after a long drive.

I use the cover also. Its just like what the others say, it does get easier every time you use it. It definately was hard to put on when I first tried. Thanks to the board I was warned. I will be putting mine on in the morning for the next couple of days of great weather in Virginia.

I haven't used mine for a while now.

Quick question...

Does it move when you are driving? [Wind pushes it up and down]

Or is it just me?

I use it whenever I can as I like the looks and want to keep dirt and grime from the "guts" of the mechanism and the inside of the top. The biggest problem is that if I have to put the top up, I can't fit the tonneau, golf clubs, and spare tire in the trunk. Spare tire had to go (except for extended trips)

I had difficulties the first couple times I used it. Then it got easier and easier, in part I'm sure due to my experience and in part as the material softened up.

Then I made the mistake of getting the "new" tonneau after the recall. I wish I'd never done it. While it's gotten easier over time, I'm still not to the point where I was with the original. I think the smaps aren't aligned as well.

WoofWoof, this should not be an issue. You only need to take the rooff down ONCE. Put the tonneau cover (OK, boot if you yanks insist) then leave it there.

The roof simply never goes up again - you just drive around permanently roofless from that point onwards. If it rains then just drive faster - the raindrops will fly over the windscreen (sorry guys, forgot again that you guys have shields not screens) and you won't notice them

Hey 2kturkey, that works for me ... that is until I hit a red light and have to stop :-) How do you (or did you) deal with that ... did you just go though red lights? :-)

I like the way the cover looks but mine un-tucks at the back if I drive at speed which is not only annoying but bad for the deck (behind the trunk) that takes a beating! When I explain it to my Honda dealer they look at my like I'm quoting a brief history of time!

Boot cover? Oh yeah...I still have one don't I? I had mine on the car the first month or two that I owned the car. Even handwashed the car around it so the interior did not get dirty. Then, one day, I replaced it with the "new" boot cover, which does not work for me nearly as well. bad mistake on my part. Now it sits in my garage colleting dust for the past year of so.

Never had a prob installing it though, the new on just isn't as good as the original. We did discover at one of our meets, that some cars' tops need a little asistance going all the way down, like Barry said, but that they do do down even with a towel or tube protecting the back window.

Good luck.

Never use it. I like the convenience of raising or lowering the top quickly, if it gets cold or if I want to park for a while. Operating the soft top certainly gets some stares at a red light!

I always use it when the top is down (well, when else would you use it!). I think the car looks much better with it. After you use it a few times and get used to putting it on, it should take less than 30 seconds to install and less than 15 seconds to take off.
