in the midwest. clean title. no accidents.

* cruise is busted (reason unknown)
* coupla paint chips in the rear & 2 small dings. needs a wax
* interior is cherry, NOT a snow-state car, purchased from the south, but already on the THIRD friggin owner.
* no mods cept clear side marker. pilot sports have ~1/3 tread left, brakes still meaty.

opinions? advice? i'm getting sick of fixing my beater miata so... seller asking $22.5K OBO.

I'd stay away IMO primarily because of the three owners. 22.5 seems right if it were the original owners. My advice don't botter. Look for another even if it does cost you a little bit more. Think of it this way, something happens and you need to sell it, even with 75k miles you now being the 4th owner will probably have a hard time selling it for aything reasonable. As for snow state, I wouldn't count them out. Most owners will garage them for the winter, as I do.

 

my MY03 had 2 owners before me and only 16K miles. I'm figuring the first and second owners probably got rid of it because it was too expensive/too harsh/both.

I have the honda warranty for peace of mind. The one above does not.

To give you an idea for your area (my area), I bought my 02 Suzuka with 39K miles for $19.5K.

came with a hardtop, seats are kind of worn, wheels were (shitty) aftermarket with winter tires (stock tires did not come with the car). Couple of paint chips/dings - nothing major or noticible. I'm the second owner AFAIK. Bought this in the winter (Early Feb).

I think I got a pretty good deal. I think you can find a better one.
