I thought it was harder on the S bc you had to take the tranny out? but then again Im no mechanic.. Anyways, Honda Burns in NJ quoted me @ about a grand.. went to a local shop.. messed up the install... cost me 500 bucks, got another clutch kit and just got installed at the dealership.. I pretty much got assed out.. Get the clutch kit from hardtopguy and go to the dealership. They know what they are doing. OR if you know someone that can hook you up and knows that they are doing..

Take it to Sussman Acura on 38 where I get all my work done and the S2000 tech there is my buddy whos done all the work to my car so far. Theyll give you discounts if you mention me. I used to work there and have been sending them some S2k members.
BTW they're also a Comptech Dealer, but not sure if they can beat HTG's prices.

Is it really easier on the S2000? You don't have to lift the motor out for FWD do you? Where is your shop?
oh and I"m in texas.....
Under the Hood FAQs are great for information like this.

The S2000 does require lowering of the engine, but as someone as stated there are shortcuts that can be taken. That is why dealers are quoting the 7 to 8 hr range. Because in their manuals it doesn't list shortcuts.

I got Honda to replace mine under warranty after it was almost toasted at 20,000kms (12,000 miles). I never launch hard, and I told them that there is no way a $50,000 car should go through a clutch after 20,000kms. I'm now at 35,000kms, and it's starting to feel soft again (doesn't grab until the clutch is right at the end).
You cannot just drop the tranny on the S. The engine is too close to the firewall making it impossible to pull the bolts out. Even if you could reach the bolts, you do not have enough room between the tranny and firewall to pull it out. BIG PAIN IN THE A*S. You have to pull the motor from the top or drop it from the bottom.
