20 about to turn 21 and praying it drops.
full coverage, student and full time working.
1260, 6 months. ;(
There is no real drop when you turn 21. They reduce the rates once you hit 25. Getting married helps alot!

Location is a big factor in the difference between people's rates.
There are a lot of variables which makes these threads fairly pointless IMO -- especially since people that reply tend to fail to post enough details for any meaningful comparisons. At a minimum, replies really need to include:
  • Number of drivers and ages and gender as well as driving history
  • Credit rating if used by the insurance company
  • All vehicles
  • Location
  • Coverage amounts for Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Uninsured Motorist, UIM Bodily Injury, Personal Injury and Medical
  • Deductibles for Comprehensive and Collision
  • Any additional features such as: Accident Forgiveness, Rental Reimbursement, Towing & Labor, etc

Otherwise, there are plenty of existing insurance threads to refer to.

I'm 31 with a perfect driving record in central VA and pay around $60/month full coverage with 500/500 deductibles with Geico. I have 3 other vehicles on the policy though which lowered my rates on the S2000.

How many of you are actually under your own policy is my question. Ill bet most of you are with your parents.
my quote from geico at $104 monthly was in my name. my current rate of $140 is under my mothers with me as the primary driver. her insurance has some points against it due to accidents....it would be cheaper for me to go on my own, especially since i just write her a monthly check for my insurance, but i would have to put down two months worth to start the policy and i have not had a good opportunity to do that.
